First of all, forgive me if this is the wrong place to ask about this. I searched but didn't find anything.

Okay so my problem is this. At the moment my main follower, Lydia, is apparently glitched out. When I was finally able to smith myself of daedric armor, I decided to give Lydia the stuff I was wearing previously, which was ebony boots, gauntlets, and Boethiah's Ebony Mail.

Now I find out that Lydia refuses to get rid of the Ebony Mail. I took off the armor, and gave her some daedric armor of her own. I then fast-traveled out of town. When I turn around, I see Lydia is now wearing a brand new copy of Ebony Mail.

No matter what I do, when I fast travel away, she will create a new copy of the armor out of the ether and will prioritize it over armor that is clearly better. I've tried everything I know of to fix this. Turning off all of my mods does not fix it. I've tried using console commands to completely reset her inventory, I've tried both the "removeitem" and the "removeallitems" commands, I've tried the Wabbajack, all to no effect. Does anyone know how to fix this?
