How much can Lydia carry?

I don't know, I accidentally killed her with a fireball. Does she come back??

I think about 250 pounds. Could be wrong.

Lydia was tragically killed during my attack on the Alik'r in Swindler's Den. Fortunately I inherited everything she had.

Uthgerd the Unbroken disappeared. She must've gotten lost somewhere in the wilderness...

Both of them were pretty potent warriors and carried plenty of suits of armor for me. I had them carrying in the late 100 lbs I think without being encumbered.

Do companions die or just get knocked out? Or something completly different?

I had thought i lost lydia because she all of a sudden dissapeared but i found her to be living in my home when i eventually went back there to store stuff. She didnt have the armor i had given her to wear anymore but she still weilded the sword i gave her which is wierd.

No when companions die, they die for good. Same with horses.

I read in the guide they only die if you inflict the final blow. Enemies will knock them to 1hp, and they will collapse. If you're a little too wild with that flame spell, or are swinging the sword a little too rapidly, you may find yourself a companion short...

Yeah, I accidentally killed two of them so far...

i think she dies if she is knocked down with 0hp. if nobody hit her she can survive even 2 giants smashing her head in i think enemys stop agro on knock down but they might just swing on the moment she got knocked down or something.. argh i cant explain i played too much today lol. im sleepy

or maybe theres a certain time limit that if she gets knocked down 2x in x ammount of time she dies
