A Lydia Problem (sorry if this is brought up again)

Post » Wed Jul 11, 2012 9:12 pm

Hey there guys, first to the forum. I’m on the ps3 version for the game (the bugged out version,) and what happened was. I was asked to meet the head companion guy in that secret opening by their area in whiterun – so I went in. The ritual started for me to become a werewolf. I always thought this was an interesting thing, so I decided to try it out. Anyway, Lydia was at my home and I told her to stay there (home in Whiterun.)As soon as I said I’d become a werewolf – it said my follower is gone and I have that new follower (the female companion.) I became a werewolf and then I wound up at Gallows Rock (I hope that’s what it’s called.)

As I’m there, I started the mission where I had to kill off the werewolf hunters and the game bugged the heck out on me – badly. So basically, I had previous saves that weren’t that old, and this game automatically saves on me (auto saves.) So I deleted the auto saves for that damn werewolf quest, and I went back to a previous point. I haven’t visited my home in a while either – keep in mind, so I figured she was still there. After I’ve been working on my smithing for a while so I can get either dragon or daedric armor, I go back into my home and go to “sleep” and as I go upstairs – Lydia is no longer there.

“Very strange” I thought, as that was the place where I told her to stay. So I figured, “heck – she’s probably at the Sky Haven Temple” because she was recruited as a Blade, and I’ve found her there before when I’ve had a follower for a mission. Well, I fast traveled there, only to find the bearded dude, and that one woman who was the last remaining blade. Nowhere in sight – is Lydia. So I went back to Dragonreach to look for her there; she’s nowhere to be found.

Did anyone else have this problem? Could the auto saves (that I should have turned off) that I previously deleted, screwed up a previous save before my companions mission, that I went back to when it bugged out on me? Where could she be now?

Any help on this would be great, I apologize if this is a re occurring topic, and or if this has been brought up before. I definitely like Lydia because – well she’s awesome. Thank you for reading!

You would get more of an audience if you posted this in the Skyrim Hardware and Software Issues PS3 Subforums. Not trying to be mean or anything, just trying to help.

I completely understand where you're coming from, and I promise you I didn't take any offense to it, I sincerely appreciate your suggestion. Is this forum on here? Or located on a different site, etc.? Thank you again!

If you go to the main page http://www.gamesas.com/ and find the Elder Scrolls forums, click Skyrim subforum, then click the Skyrim Hardware and Software Issues Subforum, and finally click on the PlayStation 3 subforum you should be able to create a new topic there. You could also message a Moderator to move this topic over but that takes a little more time. Glad I could help!
