Lydia sitting and standing up bug

Post » Tue May 22, 2012 1:41 am

Lydia is my housecarl in whiterun and she waits in my whiterun house, but she constantly sits in the chair in my room, and gets back up, sits, gets back up. it's kind of annoying to see that every time i come home.

Glad someone mentioned this, she does this for me too, endlessly. I've tried changing her equipment, giving her food, closing the doors next to her, making her follow me to other places, even other towns, then dismissing... when she goes home, she goes right back to it.

I solved the issue however... I married Aela and moved to a different house

Confirmed x3. :) I think this happens after you buy all the upgrades because it messes up her bedroom's ownership.

That is a workaround, but I'm wondering if this is something that could be fixed via console and giving her the right package? or modding and adjusting her schedule in the editor?

Ah, can the bed's ownership be changed to lydia via console? or can this be modded? I haven't tried modding in skyrim yet, i used to do it a lot for oblivion and morrowind.

I know I was just kidding. Likely be an easy fix when we get the CK... As mentioned above, prob just fix ownership of the furniture in her room. If nothing else, set that one chair so npc's can't use it at all.

Yeah, it's driving me nuts, too. Lydia doesn't do it if she is ordered to follow. Instead she gets in the road blocking the stairs and doorways. Whatever I do she is a nuisance. Maybe, I should take her someplace and kill her. :shocking:
