Maybe just a little too tough, i mean she cant die apparently, i used her in all fight up to lvl 10. If she goes down shes up again 2 secs later to fight again lol. Is she bugged or is it because i only play on adept.

No, she died on me twice, had to re-load since I was in a though dungeon. Don't take her for granted lol. Also, she has NOTHING valuable on her body...what a shame....

I was fighting a dragon and she stood in front of it the whole time getting blasted with fire and frost why I shot it with arrows from behind a rock.

(says a lot for my courage, huh? LOL)

She most certainly can die.

I accidentally hit her with my soul trap axe, while in a fight.

Now I have her soul in a black gem.

the reason she goes down, is like most npcs at low health she yields. She gets back up to fight after she's healed some.

I play on adept too.

I took her on a dungeon quest mainly to be a packmule and she died at the very end of the dungeon. She had a ton of my crap (about 2000 gold worth) so I reloaded my save and went through the dungeon again. I tell you, she can die.

She can die:p
On my quest to the village behind the mountains, the first time you meet lydia, she died to an icetroll. However, she went into the "I yield" state and i used a shout on the icetroll.. She died.. i lol'd

Whenever she dies in my game she returns at our home. Thought she was immortal / plot critical.

Companions can die three ways: Either YOU kill them, a trap kills them, or they get a finisher performed on them.

She carries whatever you give her.

If you don't give her good armor/weapons she won't be able to use them, and yes, she will have an empty corpse when she dies =P

She seems to alternate between being immortal and squishy mortal. I've no idea whether it's quest/location/bug related or anything else though.

I went into some random house and some Dark Elf went bat [censored] insane and started launching AOE fire spells at the floor. When the flames died down, I was the only one still standing: he killed himself and took her down with him.

She was a tough young lady. She tanked the first dragon that found me while I stood back with my bow. Then when some hired thugs came, she unfortunately died while fighting one of them. She took many a beating though.

yes she can i have had to reload a bunch because she can die.. she goes down on her knees wen she has minimal health then people turn to you and ignore her if you hurt them previously.. if not then she dies cuz they finish her off

I'm sorry to say this, but... fail.

Lydia dies consistently around me. Not just "Oh, I'm on my knee because I'm hurt

" dead, but dead and sprawled out on the ground dead. Corpse. "Search Lydia" dead. Lots of reloading on my part.

She's died at the hands (claws?) of

Dragons.

Bandit Chiefs.

*regular* Bandits.

A giant (I was level 19 and it couldn't kill *me* but it laid her right the hell out).

Honestly, I'm expecting her next death to be from friggin Skeevers. Lydia is, aside from as a bipedal suitcase, completely useless to me.

So far,Lydia has been an excellent tank to draw agro.I would prefer she stay alive,but she knew what she was gettin into. :poke:

THANK YOU! She was out there fighting the dragon toe-to-toe and yelling at it and I was behind a rock trying to use the right weapons. Her health is way higher than ours anyway and I had to worry about the Giants and Mammoths coming after me because for some reason, they didn't like me on their turf fighting that dragon. I did get a Heal Other (name is something like that) spell to keep her healthy too though.
