[RANT] M2014 Gauss does low damage. Underpowered.

You would expect a coil-operated magnet-action 8'000'000 joule super gun as the M2014 Gauss, capable of firing huge depleted uranium slugs at several times the speed of sound, to AT LEAST drop an enemy with less-than-maximum armor with an impact at the midsection, but NO.

At least on the PlayStation, the probably 200lb+ pea shooter does seemingly the same damage in multi-player as the DSG-1. If you don't believe me, you can open a private match and in the options, choose "M2014 GAUSS" for the "FORCE WEAPON" option. I hope this will be fixed in a future update, otherwise there is no point in unlocking the damn thing at level 39.

And the X43 MIKE svcks as well.

you can take down an unarmored soldier if you shot to the chest, or kill them with armor if you get a headshot

Quite a lot of weapons are underwhelming in that they are either useless or just weaker versions of something else.

FELINE > K-VOLT
FELINE > SCARAB
SCAR > SCARAB
AY69 > every other secondary
FRAG > FLASH
L-TAG is pretty much useless outside of Crash Site and even during Crash Site its pretty meh.

A lot of the balance problems are due to there being low recoil across the board. This causes the weapon which kills the fastest (the SCAR/AY69) to come out on top. Sure its possible to dominate with other weapons, im not saying thats not possible. Weapon balance is good enough to the point where you can stomp crappy players with anything but its bad to the point where some weapons are just redundant.

I havnt had a chance to use the GAUSS online yet so I will not comment on the state of its balance.

And yeah, the MIKE is pretty much the worst weapon on the game. Its extremely short range (similar to shotguns) isnt justified by its kill speed. The SCAR literally kills as fast as the MIKE does but has unlimited range. The MIKE needs its damage upping from 11.5 to 15 or maybe even 17.
