Im mad!

Post » Tue Aug 24, 2010 11:00 pm

I have not received any beta invitation. I signed up right when they opened the new page (gamesas), but I have not received any beta invitation by mail. I have no doubt be one of the largest Crysis fanatics / fans are in Scandinavia and Europe. I've completed the story in both the original and Crysis Warhead up to 33 times, in addition, I have been playing multi player in Crysis for over 50 hours and warhead multiplayer for over 75 hours. I really love Crysis and have always thought that I should be with the Crysis beta 2 not only because I have played games so much, but that I was one of the first to register on the new gamesas ago. I DO have the game regardless of the launch and I'll buy both Crysis 2 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360

If there has been a mistake as my mail is: lostfantomena@gmail.com

Ok. PC.

How many times is this going to be said... it's NOT a beta, it's a stress test for their servers. It's not intended for a wide-spread sneak-preview.

But how it is Was it just the first people who pushed the "sign up" button in the invite who can test it out? Or can everyone who got the mail test it out? And has the test began?

No-one got invited to a beta, some people got asked if they wanted to help us out with a multiplayer test (even then spots are very limited).

This test differs from a beta in many important ways. First and foremost, a beta is generally feature-completed. Our test is being conducted very early in our development schedule, and as such many features have not yet been implemented. Additionally, Crysis 2’s multiplayer will be polished increasingly more as development continues, so you may experience bugs, imbalance issues, or other quirks that would have already been fixed if this was a beta. This test is also very small-scale.

So will that mean that not everyone who got the mail will get in the actuall ytest?

That's correct lostfantomena, unfortunately we only have a limited number of keys to give out. The email is to primarily find out those eligible to join the test phase, from those that 'qualify' by pressing the submit button, 'tokens' will then be distributed between the users randomly.
