It won't let me cast the spell to get into the college what am I doing wrong?

Oh and I bought the spell from her. Help plz

Perhaps your magicka is too low to cast the spell?

It is how do I raise it? I'm level 4

It will say I don't have enough magic but the meter is full?

you have to level up, and put points in magicka so you can cast high mana spells

Like she says, to enter you need to have some sort of magical ability.... Level up and put points into magic then you can cast it.

So basically u have to level up to do Mage quests then right?

I don't think this is the case. She sells you the tome of a Novive spell, meaning anyone can cast it. You have to cast it on the rune symbol where you should be standing. If you're not standing there, go and search for it along the path to the castle. If this doesn't work, fast-travel somewhere then return, and/or reload saves and try again. Could be a bug, but I've not read anything about it.

It's definitely not mana because they max' any spell she'll give you will cost 34 mana.

PS: People should stop trying to help unless they have knowledge of the problem. I've had a huge bug on a Whiterun quest and been asking for help, I've had one guy tells me it's a bug... When 'bug' is in the topic title. Jus' saying.

No she sold me a different spell. Once it was fear and when I tried again it was some other thing

When I try to cast it it says not enough magicka I'm level 4 and have put all my level ups into magicka. I've watched guides on this and the people all are able to cast the spell. Surely u don't have to be apprentice level to get into college???

Just tell her you're Dragon Born, do a shout and you get in without proving how pathetic at magic you are!

She will give you a spell (it differs) but you to have enough magicka to cast it. It's the point of not letting just ANYBODY in. Go level up and add some magika then come back.

You're wrong. She can give you spells that you won't be able to cast until you reach higher levels. That's the entire point of the initiation.

If this is the case, then why I was I given a Novice spell?
