stam will only give you 5 extra pounds for carrying. if you're a pure mage you will enchant gear that will allow you to grab everything on the way out the door after clearing the dungeon. stats should be around 80% mana 20% health.....however later on if you're an enchanter you can drop your spells to using 0 mana....thats right...0 mana. so play around with what feels right....gotta grab some health or you will get one shotted.
I suppose.... but then I'd never play a pure mage anyway. My toons tend to be "fighter/mage" (similar to the class from the original AD&D tabletop game back in the mid-70s which is what I started RPGs with....) so "pure" anything isn't germane to my playstyle.
