I find a sword with frost/stamina dmg but eventually it has 0 frost/sta dmg left (no charges i guess you would say). I try to find a way to recharge it at the enchanters table but it doesn't even list that item for enchanting.

All I want to do is recharge it so my question is how do you do that?

ok you will need a soul gem.. go to your inventory and select the item you want to recharge... then just press R2 (for PS3) and it will recharge.. but you will need a soul gem

Try going into the weapon in your inventory screen, and at the bottom of the screen it has a couple of prompts. I play with a 360 controller on pc, and for me it says rb to recharge weapon. Probably z in the inv screen to recharge.

You need a soul gem with a soul in it. Many shopkeepers sell them. Try the guy in Riverwood.

Quoting for emphasis.

Open your inventory, go to the weapons page, scroll down to the weapon you want to recharge, and now look at the bottom of your screen. There should be several prompts ( to wield, to favorite, to recharge, etc.). It'll be plain as the nose on your face.

T button to recharge.

Don't you have to take the enchanting perk first? If not I would totally not have taken it...
