No guards outside the gate. Tells me i need a key.

For obvious reasons, unable to do any of the main quests.

Others are experiencing the same exact problem.

Strange....because i am right now on whiterun...have 3 times visiting the city but no such thing.....I don't know...really....

Couple of quick questions:

• Do you have the quest to speak with the Jarl of Whiterun?
  
• Are you currently tracking the quest to speak with the Jarl of Whiterun?
  
• Have you tried using the Wait feature?
  
• Have you tried fast travelling to Riverwood, and then back to Whiterun?
  
• Have you tried taking a caravan from Whiterun to another capital, and then back to Whiterun?

I have visited whiterun first...i do the companion thing...not all of them...only one quest so far...then i was outside from whiterun done a quest with a Mammoth tooth....
then i killed to Giants...and i am in whiterun again inside the city and speak with the people around....

I don't if this helps...(don't to forget a travel with my foots...) since beginning of the game....i want to discover around...a lot....

If you fast travel there it puts you inside the city. Also, if that doesn't work just fast travel into Dragonsreach.
