Make Lycanthropy into a disease !

Post » Sun Nov 18, 2012 4:18 am

Hello Everybody !

I'm wondering why I can't get diseased by Lycanthropy when I'm fighting Were-Wolves.
I mean , Bethesda added the random encounters , it makes sense perfectly to get sick and I don't need to join the Companions.
Also , it was in Bloodmoon , why not makes this ?

If anyone is aware of a mod which adds this , please tell me !

That would ruin their fancy little Companion questline, i mean, you can't expect them to change the layout of how that specific questline works can you?

^Also: The Companions Lycanthropy strain is unique,, it was granted by hircine, not contracted. They(Skyrim's werewolves) are much different to the disease-inducted Werewolves, both in their appearance and behaviour.

Think about it like a Vampire Lords vs. regular Vamps. Maybe not THAT difference, but you see the point.

Edit: ADDING disease-spread lycanthropy would mean adding NEW type(body mesh, textures, scripts(?)etc.) of Werewolves. And Bethesda is lazy:D

Also , what if I DON'T want to join a group of Barbarians and want to be a Were-Wolf ?
Hopefully if Were-Bears are released there will be a diseased version..

I tried and I can't do anything but make a random follower NPC lol

Pissed me off that the lovely hair mod floats in the air and if used on a new NPC it just makes them bald.

I agree, if bethesda adds werebears hopefully we can contract it through the disease, but I'll be happy anyway they decide to implement them as long as we can become one.

Stop assuming that every single one of us has a PC version of the game.

I'm just saying that if Bethesda are too lazy to make such a thing then if there's a mod I want a link to it.

^^ This is you answer, not only can you be infected but you can also infect your followers if you choose to. And on top of that, your companion will transform when you transform and seeing how you PCer's can have a mod that allows you to have more then one follower you guys can form your own werewolf pack :woot:
You PCer's make me  with envy

Tales of Lycanthropy seems so good. It's still somewhat dumb we can't catch the disease from wild werewolves, especially since dawnguard added more of them.

Yeah. Maybe beth didn't do that because then they would have to add forced lunar transformations and you know people wouldn't want that.

Yep. Remember what Vsions said.

I do speak on all of your behalf's on many occasions  In fact a number of us do. Some things make it and some things don't unfortunately, but we definitely try. I wish we had sneaking too. So much to do, so little time :( Forced Lunar Transformations? well honestly I think most people would hate it immediately after they love it. I remember playing GTA 4 and getting phone calls from the different people I met in the game that required me to hang out with them in some fashion or another in order to keep my relationships with them. At first I was like this is friggin awesome, about 20 phone calls later I hated it immensely. Forcing players to do tedious things is tricky stuff and can become frustrating. Unfortunately some ideas, even a bunch I have pitched and tried sound a heck of alot cooler than they actually play out when you finally implement it.

Also, bear in mind that there alot of things we cant comment on. So we are not trying to sneak away, we have to do the right thing. All I can say is that its better that way and can only hope you guys will trust me on that. Besides I have a big mouth and would likely get myself into more trouble than I already do if I commented on more stuffs. Not to mention that Im sure you guys like being surprised by stuff no?

I guess it is because of the dumb kids who whine about everything that Bethesda won't add it. If lunar transformations are in, expect a bunch of idiots who will cry about their characters turning in the middle of town.

Lycanthropy shouldn't always be a boon for everyone. I think it should be moderated. If people love the curse, then they can go ahead and wolf out under a full Masser and Secunda. If not, then don't play a werewolf or at least wear Hircine's ring to prevent the transformation.

Boooo! Give me my forced lunar transformations. As people have suggested people who don't want the forced lunar transformations can just keep the companions strain. At least give me my stage 4 hostility back.

I would love it too. Some people would hate it, but I don't see the problem. Like vampires, a werewolf player can get a message on screen telling him the moons are going to be full. Or they can wolf out in a forest and wait until morning. It is simple. Yet your average 12-16 year old want things like "keeping armor after transformation" or flying werewolves.
