Making NecromancerAssassin Character?

Post » Sun Sep 02, 2012 11:40 am

I always wanted to play a mix between a mage and an assassin. Then I read a blog about a necromancer/assassin hybrid and fell in love with the concept. I claim no originality here, but found that assassins are made for offense, not defense, and scrapped Light Armor for Destruction for that offense mainly for combating dragons or when things get heated. This is made with specific mods in mind, adjustments are easily made for vanilla. For example, sacrificing the mastery perks for more sneak and one-handed perks, elimination of Alteration for Light Armor, etc. The changes to the perks are listed. Destruction can be eliminated for Light Armor/Alteration for more defense but it's much slower in pace and you can't kill much outside of sneak attacks and followers. This character, to me, is made for killing.

This is primarily a Necromancer with stealth skills for bodies. In conjunction with a Vampire Lord and Belua Sanguinare's abilities (such as killing your undead for health restoration), it becomes something fierce. Obviously, you level the mage aspect first (Destruction, Conjuration, Alteration, and Enchanting). Once you start accumulating Impact, Mage Armor,
Enchanting, and Necromany side of the tree perks (should have at least 40 Destruction, 50 Conjuration and Alteration, and max Enchanting by mid 20s), then start developing your stealth.

This isn't made to be a min/max build, but something entertaining and a change of pace to fit my tastes. The original is fun, but again, a tad slow-paced and the traditional Illusion/Sneak/One-Handed assassin is fun until you reach a dragon and must use archery or destruction to fight. I like actually being able to fight.

Key mods are ACE, Belua Sanguinare, PISE, ASIS, Better Magic, Path of Shadows, Deadly Combat, and Character Creation Overhaul. Rest are texture replacement mods with a few armor mods such as Immersive Armors.
