Why? It's a bit misleading, especially when coupled with a female name.

I won't ask the same question in reverse to females as I know part of the reason is to avoid pervy guys and unwanted attention but ladies can feel free to share why they use male pics/names if they like

I'm 98% sure this isn't about me, but my excuse is that I am genderfluid, with what seems to be more of a leaning towards a female gendered mindset.

Now, obviously, not all people are in a situation similar to mine where they can claim to be a gender queer, but eh, I don't have answers for everything. Maybe they just like seeing a pretty woman, or playing a role?
