manipulaton system it is terrible

The new manipulation system is terrible. Any thing you pick up instanly goes upside down as if you picked it from the bottom. It makes decorating my house extremely diffcult and maddening. This needs to be fixed in the next patch that comes out. The old system was hard but not impossible.

Yeah, not a big fan of what they did here, though I do find it much easier to place potions.

I'm still baffled that you can't just click on a shelf or a dresser or a table or a chair and just place whatever you want to on it.

I haven't tried decorating in a long time, but I do hate the Skyrim system. Bring back Oblivion's, I say! Decorating your home in Oblivion is a breeze - unless you try using those weapon racks ...

I am hoping for serious fixes for these issues to be released with Hearthfire. I mean if we're having issues decorating the houses now, who wants to spend tons of time designing the perfect place and then have the same issues as the original homes?

When it comes to that they really just need to disable the physics system.
Even if I do get all my dragon claws arrayed neatly on a shelf (because I can't put books on it, even though it looks exactly the same as a book shelf), once I leave and come back all the claws are scattered around the room, behind things, under things.

It was much easier to decorate a house in Morrowind.

This is why I'm still on 1.5 - I know this issue would drive me insane and mounted combat isn't worth it.

And unless Hearthfire actually addresses the issue game-wide, making the placing of objects at least as "easy" as it was before 1.6, then it's not gonna be any kind of "fix" at all.
