» Fri May 18, 2012 9:25 pm To be honest there are more than a couple inventory sounds that are kinda jarring to the ears, but the map screen sounds are the worst imo. I hope someone eventually makes a replacement for the UI sound effects like 'sound of slapping the side of a huge drum', or the~ *you just clicked yes to a menu option* : 'Ka-boom!'.
I don't mind sounds for a UI like 'turning of a page', 'some cloth being moved about' or 'a metal mesuring instrument sliding/clicking into place'. It's just all the 'Ka-BAM!'s and 'Ker-POW!'s that seem to make up something like 20% of the UI sound effects for Skyrim really get to me. I don't know if anyone else feels this way cause I haven't seen any sound replacement talk except for mabey the 'tinkle-tinkle' sound the readied healing spells play (think there's a mod to silence that).
If nothing else if someone could point me at a list of the file names for menu sounds I might be able to work something out myself.
