Map messed up

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 12:46 pm

Hmm, I am not sure if I am in the right forum here, but the others weren′t fitting too - so let′s try. Maybe one of you modders out there can tell me what I am doing wrong.

I simply unpacked the meshes and textures.bsa and afterwards deleted the bsa-files. Everything is fine ingame, just my map is suddenly more or less white with some clouds. All the dark colors, the definitions of the towns and mountain ranges, are gone. It′s very hard to find my way around Skyrim this way.

I put the meshes.bsa back, and the map was fine again. I checked, the original meshes.bsa has two main folders, meshes and lodsettings, and both are there (with all their files). What is going wrong here?

Thanks for your help!

I think I don′t need both - meshes.bsa AND the meshes and lodsetting folders. Well, at least I didn′t need it in Oblivion.

I unpacked it in the first place to use the new mods which replace textures and meshes without having to worry about that archinvalidation stuff.
