Marriage and Guild Quests

Post » Mon May 14, 2012 2:07 pm

Wasn't expecting the marriage bit to be a simple "Wear this amulet, ask her to marry you, You're married." Was anyone else expecting something a bit more indepth? I mean my wife ingame is still mentioning how her and her brother are grateful for returning the claw to them. . .

As for the Guild Quests and/or Main Story. Did anyone else feel they were rushed a bit? I just did the companions and thieves guild, both quests had a certain part within them that hinted at your experience and length within the guild and how much you contributed. . . when I was only in the guild for seven ingame hours.

Brother and I were talking and we both agree that the game seems rushed, as beautiful and fun as it is to play, I just don't feel the depth I was expecting or got from Oblivion or Morrowind.(The lack of depth of course is erased if you do every single 'lacky' quest each guild offers and don't just stick to the main portion of it.)

P.S. On a sidenote, whatever happened to the racist remarks you use to get all the way back in Morrowind? If you chose a race you were hated or liked even more, it mattered. I forgot if that was ever done in Oblivion but I miss it. I'm playing an elf and running around the stormcloak area... not one nord is angry with me or commenting badly. If the lore has anything to say about it, those nords in particular shouldn't care much for me.

Right, at the end of the quest when this guy tells you to go to this other guys room to gather his personal affects because they don't feel it's "Their" place to do it? I kept thinking, "I barely know the guy, i only knew him for less than 12 ingame hours and already he's writing about me in his diary."

Companions were use as a pack mule or meat shield, they were too dumb for anything else.

Fallout NV had more interesting companions at least they had back story's

I think they were referring to the Companions guild, the one with
Spoiler
werewolves
but for the followers, yeah they were bland and I would've preferred more interactions with them but there are way more available and the Elder Scrolls never really focused on followers.
