Does anyone know if there is a way to get the kind of helmet is wearing when you first meet them?

When I put on the shrouded cowl mine doesn't have a mask, but I've found a piece of head-wear titled "Shrouded Cowl Maskless". Does this mean the lack of mask on the normal one is simply a bug?

I couldn't say if it's a bug or not, but I was wondering the exact same thing.

I've noticed this too, seems like for some idiotic reason only females get the mask.

Playing as a Dunmer male, used console to see how it looked as a female Dunmer and voila, mask is there suddenly, change back and it's gone.

Doesn't have a mask on female Khajiit either. I think it's race/gender specific. I hear "female only" but my cat female doesn't have it.
