Skyrim feels way bigger than Oblivion to me. Game world feels huge.

It is huge beautiful, and downright terrifying.

Skyrim's environment scares me more than Fallout 3s environment and that's saying something

scares as in, the environments coupled with the music and the sure knowing of the deadly threats that await you in the vast open space that is Skyrim, it really gets to me.

Especially the areas around Winterhold.... *shiver*

I agree. Mostly because of how immersed I feel exploring the land. Enemies, similarly to if it was a real life event unfolding, are usually hard to see with as much detail they put in the land, from trees, foliage, mountain terrain, weather and water features.

I haven't been to Winterhold yet. The mountains really added a lot to the game world.

At Winter Hold now for the most part... have to journey for some quests, but pretty cool... at least know where to get further Mage training and such for the disciplines.

It seems concerns on game size and amount of content were overblown.

The game has its issues, but they just aren't in this area.

I find most NPCs and especially companions too bland sadly (more than Fallout's) and alot of quests feel like very generic fetching ones.

However the amount of content is definitely not a weak area.
