I was doing the Dark Brotherhood mission to assassinate Victoria at her wedding. I was on the balcony behind the bride and groom, had saved behind them and kept reloading trying to not get caught. I killed the bride and groom, stayed hidden for both murders then jumped off the side of the balcony. A Solitude guard confronted me, said I had commited a crime and the bounty was 40 gold. Obviously I just paid that, went to the dungeon, pickpocketed a key from the guards and got my stuff back from the evidence chest but 40 gold? Murder is usually 1000 gold. The bride and groom should have been 2000 gold. I then returned to the balcony to loot the two bodies and there were a few more dead bodies scattered about it. I can accept that it was probably Jenassa who killed them after I jumped off, I know the argonian Dark Brotherhood member was also there. I had leapt from the balcony before the Snow Shod started coming up for a piece of the action.
I just find it strange that I got fined 40 gold. I don't think I commited any crime other than the double murder, which should have been 2000, were they fining me for assault? Or is it that I wasn't caught murdering them but I was in trouble because my follower had been fighting on the balcony? Or was it a glitch?
