Matchmaking as well as spawns DON'T MAKE SENSE.

So it's been a few days since Crysis 2 has been out and there's already a good number of level 20's and 30's, now I'm wondering what kind of matchmaking system here puts you in a game with all 20's and 30's when you're still a sub 20 level?

I mean is that fair to the player that the opposing members of the team have extra classes with more modules than you? Probably not. So then why does the matchmaking system pair you up with such higher level players...I mean the population of the game can't be that bad that the only possible match ups are with those ranks. I just don't get it...

And then the spawns are absolutely the worst part of the multiplayer in my opinion. When you can consecutively spawn and get either stealth killed from behind or double melee that's just total bs. I have no idea how this game decides spawns for the players but it be nice to walk more than 5 feet from where I was and not die again because either there's someone directly in front, behind, or surrounding me.

Thoughts on this? I hope a patch fixes these issues.

Yeah well, at the START of a fresh game I spawned with an opponent in the SAME room. The room had ONE entrance/exit and was the size of closet, literally. We spawned facing each other and immediately went into,"OH ****!!" mode.

I mean COD has a history of bad spawning throughout the franchise, starting at the very first one, and never ONCE did I ever spawn in the same obscure cubbyhole at the exact same time as an opponent.

Lest we forget COD2 was once one of the highest rated PC games of all time and it regularly made IGN's top 25 list. It was revolutionary arcade like shooter, just as revolutionary as Crysis. Now COD2 is about as relevant as burnt hair. Crysis, I fear, will have the same fate.

you can play new comers from 1 - 10 which is really good, then so far my matchmaking has been fairly even, when a game ends i sometimes get moved to diff lobby or something so i leave and re join matchmaking and its fine.

As for spawns i'm yet to be spawnkilled once and thats good :D

Yeah, my biggest complaint about the multiplayer aside from not being able to connect to it consistently is the spawns. And the nearly worthless Greandal... but that's for a different thread.

In a game earlier tonight, at the start of the game I spawned with an enemy directly in front of me and he was facing the other direction. Fair? Not really. But to make up for that, the rest of the night the game decided to always spawn me within 5 feet of an enemy player or 3. I've spawned on top of a grenade once or twice, too. Yes my luck is that good.

Nice to know I'm not the only one who has had these weird ass game start spawns.

I found myself placed in a game down by 20+ and the entire team was composed of 20's and 30's. I looked at my team once I entered and saw we had a few single digits too. I liked the 1-10, it be nice to see that extended to instances like 11-20, 21-30, and so on. It would make things fair for those that have the rank. All it would really do is make certain players stand out amongst their rank in a game. Like for instance it the game was made up of 15-20's and a level 15 made MVP that would just mean they played well for that game.

So I can't really understand why they would include a 1-10 playlist but then not have something like that set up for all the ranks following to keep things balanced.

Hopefully they address it along with the spawns the map that makes those problems distinct is Terminal. A square room with only elevation and small rooms to hideout in here and there make it so easy to walk out from anywhere in the map and get lit up by a enemy player in your vicinity.
