May I suggest action against Bethesda if the save file issue

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 8:34 am

The title pretty much explains it...

It's a shame because the new consoles are of course on the horizon as everyone knows... Bethesda may feel immune to any retribution as a new console may promise a fresh start but I feel it shouldn't be this way.

I propose that all PS3 users on the forum, that have been affected by the save file sizes, should post their own threads that somewhat resemble this one that send a clear message to Bethesda that -

IF THE ISSUE IS NOT FIXED, WE WILL SHOW THEM NO FORGIVENESS!!!

Even if you still the feel the urge to buy their games, there is always the pre-owned route... That in itself drives down the prices of the games anyway... I suppose you must see where I'm coming from... Just hope I'm not assassinated now.

Oh, and apart from the fact it's broken, it's a lovely game...

And how exactly is this going to help?

Though I haven't opened mine yet, I agree with everything that has been posted on this forum. Multiple games that have had the same issue, and they still haven't fixed it. Something ain't right

It may encourage them to ACTUALLY address this problem rather than half heartedly attempt it...

It may also ensure that there are no future failings on their part... I believe there needs to be consequences for them.

I really do hope they fix this and that all the words aren't in fact empty... It's just small scale robbery - on a large scale otherwise...

Oh, and Elf is a brilliant film if that was the reference... Anyway, time to return to lurkin' I believe........

Is it that they're being expected to fix an issue that they've only been aware of for a few days? Relax, I'm sure they're working to fix it, but it'll take time.

Remember they don't really pay attention to user's complaints on the forums. So ranting against them isn't helping.

Look I have this game for PS3 and yes my save file is over 11mb and im over 80 hours into it, and again yes I experience the same huge lag issue but honestly I do not condemn Beth for releasing Skyrim as is. It's still extremely playable. Would all of you that are calling Beth a thief of preferred that the just postponed releasing skyrim until spring? I've play a lot of Beth's games and even though it does really svck when you start getting 5-10 fps or less I have faith in our developer.

YES

That's what a professional company would do. Not amateurs with a big budget.

Ok, let me get this straight. You would rather wait 3-4 more MONTHS to play this AMAZING title than having it released when it was and waiting a few WEEKS for them to fix the few bugs that are present? I do not know how many games you have played at time of their release but my experience with them has almost always been that there were a few bugs left to fix and on average were fixed within a few weeks of the releases, and since Beth has already announced that the lag fix is coming soon I see no more reason to gripe over this.

I would rather them delay the game and release it when it's done, rather than drop a broken game on paying customers, just to keep that "cool release date" 11/11/11
