Have you guys heard about this?

Its pretty ridiculous, he may have got booked smokin rocks. Apparently he even caught the guy with the phone who was recording.. but diddnt have backup to take the phone away.. after all what's he gonna do, call the cops and tell em someone recorded him smoking something in the company of drug dealers lol

What do you guys think about this? I have no idea what to think.

why any one in that position could think that no one would ever find out this day and age is beyond me.

However, isn't this political?

I hate using this term crack head but I don't know what else to use. So I apologize if it offends anyone.

If he is on those crackhead tips, that's why he got caught. The next high was more important than protecting his reputation. Its more than his rep tho, his health is at risk from using cocaine/crack cocaine which can affect his ability to do his job. I would bet if it hasn't already and he continued without getting booked it would affect his job performance.

Its not too political, no more than video game bans, regulations for violence in video games, etc

Why wasn't it specially delivered to him at his house in a way which would not raise any suspicion?

It's Canada, the dungeons reset on exit and the winter has a -5hp/persecond effect which stacks with damage. So it would be risky for the drug dealers to leave, since there are high level PoPo running around and the mayor has a avoiddetection that stacks with a stealth potion.

People have been saying they would be okay with it if it were marijuana or mushrooms. But not crack, no way.

Isn't a Mayor kind of........ not a big deal? I mean, the mayor of where I live is just some farmer that pretty much everyone knows personally anyway.

A little different in scope between something that is manufactured by man and the other naturally occuring in nature that is safe for humans to consume (within reason). Crack is destructive to society, look what it did to American cities in the 80s and early 90s. Marijuana and mushrooms? Oh man, those guys just want to relax and laugh at stuff.

Nevermind, innapropriate subject matter (for these forums). It's a shame as it is an interesting topics, but too many people have proven the forum rules as neccesary time and time again.

Its not really politics, at this point the person being talked about is simply a celebrity status. Nothing is being said on their voting habits, stance, or issues. No more than talking about the time those photos of Michael Phelps were released of him indulging and the topics that strewn forth from that.

True nothing has been mentioned yet, though it probably will or this will be preemptively locked anyway.

For one, Mayor ford is a fat dude, ive never seen a fat crack head in my life before.

And second, the only reason the Toronto Mayor is a 'big deal' is because he is a conservative 'redneck' in the city of Toronto, the most left wing city in Canada (and the left wing absolutely hate him). The media has been all over his ass about everything since he's been in office. Hell just a few months ago they were trying to make him step down as mayor because he used a city of Toronto letterhead on some letters he was putting out for donations for a special needs football team, and he only raised like 3000 bucks off of it which didn't even go to him, but the special needs team for more football gear.

Theres also a bunch of university kids with an online petition trying to make him step down accusing him of somehow taking away womens rights (haha what?!).

Anyway, the whole point of this thread is sort of political, so I don't know how long it is going to last.

Still, it would be interesting to find out if this was true and he was a crack head. (seems unlikely to me though)

Also note, the Toronto Star is the least reputable media source in Canada, and have been made to apologize for blatantly lying multiple times. They're basically the tabloids now. They also have it out for rob ford, as they've been caught trespassing on his property and going through his garbage multiple times. They're finding anything they can to get rid of him as mayor.

It depends on the size of place city . Compare what the mayors of Warwick, Brisbane, Sydney, and London have to deal with and you'll probably find it can be a surprisingly big job. But I'm mostly just speculating here :P.

Anyone remember http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Marion_Barry? He was caught smoking crack while he was Mayor of D.C. There was a bunch of fallout from it and IIRC even had to do some jail time but ended up getting re-elected.
