Merchants & Trainers Bug

Post » Tue May 15, 2012 9:11 pm

Hello all,

For staters, I enjoy Skyrim immensly, it's a masssive game so there are bound to be unfornseen complications with launch. I know the only way to get them fixed is to bring them to someone's attention. So after browsing the forums and googling a bit I don't see anyone complaining about a game breaking error I'm getting on PS3.

NPCS will not allow me to access thier inventory. This goes for merchants, trainers, Lydia the works. I clock with lydia to "trade some things with her" and the game just freezes in space. her inventory dosen't open and I can't swap out weapons / armor with her. This same bug is in effecft for every Merchant in the game. "What do you have for sale" triggers a bug that holds the game in place with me looking at the NPC and not their inventory.

It should be mentioned that I cannot complete quests this way. Everytime someone asks me to fetch something and bring it back, they don't recongize that I have it. Game dosen't progress and make the game all of unplayable. Only things that seems to fix is going back sometimes 7+ hours to do the entire quests again, only to have the bug return.

Can somebody fix this? Thanks.

I've heard of other people with this issue. Best I can tell from other forums I've read is that it coincides with the memory leak issue.

How do I get this issue to the dev's attention? Need to know if it will be address in the next patch after Thanksgiving.

They more than likely know of it from other posts; however, the best way to get a bug to the Dev's is by doing exactly what you did. Post a topic in this subforum with as much detail as you can.
