so I wanted to create a character based on Merlin but I have no idea what race he should be or what build to do him as.

I would say do a Breton with the skills of illusion enchanting and conjuration while using a staff as your with a destruction spell enchantment on it

As do I at times. Bretons make good sage and mage characters because they are a man elf hybrid.

The real problem tho and I think Beth should utilize telekinesis a little more, but most of his damage is used through force (maybe unrelenting force would work)... Alchemy, restoration, some alteration, illusion are definite. Another problem you will run into is that he is a dragon lord. He commands and protects dragons.. not enslave and utilize their souls.. so you will have to make an amendment to that too.

I would say for looks a nord would look best (I picture him with pale skin) but for ability Is it the brenton thata has dragon skin? That one would be best. Human look and powerful ability for a mage.

I don't think I have ever seen him conjure anything on the show. I know he healed alot and protection from alteration is perfect for the storyline. I actually don't think he enchanted much besides the "doll" under Morgana in Season 4. And as far as the civil war goes, it could still go either way. Support a new "Albion" from the corrupted Empire or support a united land. I would go more along the lines with the united lands tho
