I decided to create a topic on this new indy game that was recently "greenlit" by Steam.

Even though this game is still rough around the edges, and badly optimized, it does bring some very interesting gameplay techniques that I've never seen before in a game. Most notably, the Cartography feature were you map your surroundings little by little in your blank map. Also, the momentum you get when moving is something that I found interesting and in many ways very realistic, because it feels that you are walking in uneven terrain. Although, some find this "momentum" feature annoying and cumbersome.

This game is the only game that makes me feel that it is ME against NATURE. The scenery may not have very high quality textures, it does however convey a sense of place, a sense that you're alone, insignificantly and hopeless against your surroundings. The way the volumetric clouds gathers during a stormy/foggy weather is very convincing, specially when you see in the horizon the massive dark clouds reflecting off the sea. The way you can see bits of patches of light breaking through the clouds, and lighting your surrounding intermittently. Very poetic and atmospheric.

Anyways, there's more details to talk about, but I want to keep this short. It's amazing the only two brothers made this game, including the engine. So, has anyone played this game, do you think this game has a lot of potential to compete with AAA games in the near future?
