This is the only mp game that no one talks to each other. Its so quiet and its killing me. I love this game but w/o jokes or even talking about the games or other games it feels like I'm working.

yeah even a little fighting talk would be better than nothing. but i do blame party chat as it seems most games have been infected with the silence

I talk plenty, Unfortunately I'm in a party with my friends. I've learned that a percentage of the Xbox community is made up of "tweens" that like to act big and bad over the internet. I keep my mic on friends only because of this reason only.

Yea AUTOMUTE is my friend. I gave up on talking because you run into nothing but idiots most of the time. Its sad really because games these days are geared towards teamwork and co-op. Crysis though is a run and gun style mostly and plays so fast that it kinda makes effective teamwork difficult. That also might have to do with it being so silent. Funny story, I found a guy on the leaderboard from my home town so I tried to play with him. Guess what? Was an idiot jerk. Anyway AUTOMUTE is my friend lol.

you can see if people have mics....if im not with a party i ask people if they want to party up...but usually im in a party with friends and we are only talking to each other...i feel the same way..you NEED talking in this game...it is very much a team based game...it is hard to be a lone wolf in this game

but it wont change when everybody automatically sits in party chat. when i play with friend we use the party chat to talk untill were in game then switch back to gamechat

Well until people can talk without becoming racist, or disrespectful, unfortunately most games will be quiet. I find it to be a much more pleasant experience just stay in a party with my friends.

Almost the exact same, minus finding someone from my home town. I have had to listen to too many screaming kids and wannabe gangsters to even think about putting a headset on. Auto mute, thank god for you.

I mute everybody. I don't want to talk to A-holes or hear their BS. I'm usually in a party with friends anyway.

Party with friends ! Sorry but I'm tired listening little kids screaming or having bad mic buzzing whole game or just listening to some lil gangsta blasting music about nyggas busting cap in my ass and stuff

I don't know why they have to be so scared.

I just don't get it. I join a game, nearly everybody has mics in, I say 'hello', silence. I continue trying, the silence persists. I try being a good teammate: "oh, there's a guy on the tower, anybody got a sniper?" and nothing. I try taking to individuals: "hey assassin43, how's things?" and still no response. Even when I resort to petty insults in a desperate attempt to start some sort of conversation, people flat-out refuse to talk. I mean, what the hell?

They are more than likely in parties, have their settings to friends only or have auto muted everybody. It stills shows them having mics. This is more than likely why you are getting no responses.

In Halo 3 I remember micless people being the minority, now it seems in all games its the majority, I dont use a mic cause I don't really want to talk to random people all the time..

I feel the same way, I always try to get someone talking in lobby but they all just sit there ignoring.. good thing I found a friend who do talk and because of that we usually end up with 20 kills each and win with 50/20. We got 28 wins in a row last night. =)

Well it can be expected once party chat came along. Most people like playing with friends in parties. I know I do. I hate having to individually mute people because of how annoying they are lol. I guess if the other teams has something to say they can message me. I'll switch over most of the time and laugh at them if they're trash talking lol.
