T minus 13 hours

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 11:29 pm

Gota love the dateline...13 hours to go. Damn so close now. Just got home from getting my supplies for next couple of days. Packets of chips, chocolate chip cookies, 5 litres of Ice Break (Iced Coffee drink here), 10 litres of Pepsi, 2 x 1125mls Jack Daniels.
Going to be 30 degrees up here(Brisbane) today so good excuse to crack open the JD :celebration:

I can't take it anymore, I feel like I'm going to jump out of my skin. Luckily I'm going to the midnight release tomorrow night. I've been waiting for this game for a VERY long time, as have most people on here.

I'm pissed at Australia AGAIN, they got MW3 about a day before the U.S. and you guys will get Skyrim a day before us too. Lucky!

13 hours? By my count that only takes us halfway through Thursday. Is it timezone dependent?

It is 5:36 pm on wednesday, so I don't know how to ballpark the idea of 13 hours. that would be tomorrow morningish, not midnight.

are you in a different time zone like austrailia (I know it is sometimes a day different there)

Zenimax Media is based on the East Coast of the US. That means release for PC should be 12:01 am EST, 11/11/2011. That's like 28.5 hours away. For consoles it may be a few hours earlier but not by much.

Gentlemen, It's been an honor serving with y'all on this forum.

Me and my buddies are in a christmas mood. We'll probably get a form of Root beer (Here in Sweden, Root beer is a tradition only served close to christmas and easter times). If I'd had a little more time, I'd have looked into getting some mead.

Yeah Brisbane, Queensland-Australia. We dont get daylight savings here, apparently it fades our curtains, and makes the cows stop producing milk! :banghead:
That said the only good thing about not having daylight savings means it unlocks at 11 pm tonight( Thursday).

JD is cracked and first drink is poured and going down fine!

Yes Steam currently says approx 14 hours for NZ. Brisbane is 3 or 4 hours behind NZ.

I just created a separate thread about Steam's approximate unlock times matching midnight 11/11/11 local time since it seems like something that might vary wildly/somewhat: for me it is 2am 11/11/11... http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1254909-this-game-will-unlock-in-approximately/

@Kenoath: Is that time based off the store page for skyrim on steam?

That's what I'm thinking.

13 hours from now, it'll be Thur, 6:54 AM (Central Time).

24 hours from now, it'll be Thur, 5:54 PM (Central Time)

So, really...we have 31 hours left.

Whoops, just turned 5:55 PM (Central Time). Okay, 30 hours left.

EDIT: I am assuming that it's 30 hours for my time zone. I'm getting all this from the http://skyrim2011.info/ site which probably reads the clock and time zones of every computer respectively.
