Miraak's Mask: Light or Heavy?

I've noticed on various videos that Miraak's mask can be classified as either light or heavy armor. Does anyone have any idea of how to get a specific version of the mask, such as wearing mostly heavy or light armor, or simply having a higher level in heavy or light armor.

No, it just levels up light armor.

So I guess the answer to the OP's question is...yes?
