I've had the game since release and I've be able to do a full run of the game once. I keep quitting characters because the profiles keep getting bugged to hell.

I'm level 30-something now on a Warrior-Priest character. Farthest I've got without a bug since release, but now I got one. "Collect bounty from Skald". It won't go away, and there's a permanent quest marker on the compass, even though I've already collected the bounty. Is there any work around for this on the 360? Reverting to a previous save would be the save I made the previous day. It would mean a loss of 3 hours gameplay.

I'm really anol about permanent bugs, and if there isn't a fix for this, I'm just going to give up again.

Skyrim is really frustrating the hell out of me.

It's a known problem. You just have to ignore the quest and move on. The marker should go away if you deselect the quest or select another.

It is deselected. Regardless of whether I'm inside or outside, the marker icon doesn't change and it remains. I'ts permanently fixed on south.

Do you have a custom marker anywhere?
Can you select another quest to make it go away?
If not, you pretty much will have to consider it a compass. You could make the HUD transparent so you don't have to look at it.

I know, all crappy solutions, but at least you can keep playing.
Then again, what's worse, having no HUD for the duration of the game, or replaying 3 hours' worth of it now?

I have numerous "collect bounty" quests that are stuck in my misc section.

I also have "talk to blah about the theives guild" stuck in my misc too, even though I've alrdy done the quest line. I'm unable to become guild master, I've done over 20 of those crappy quests from vex and delvin and delvin has only once given me a "special quest". I think the misc quest that didn't go away is glitching it.

You have to do 4 sets of 4 different jobs in 4 different cities in order to become guild master, make sure when getting the jobs that each is in a different city, I tend to make a save just before taking the jobs, that way if it's one that I've already done I can reload and try again.

I can't speak to Thieves' Guild quests as I don't have a thief character yet, but other misc quests certainly do get stuck in my quest list. I usually just select another quest and the map marker changes accordingly (not always immediately, though), and then I just ignore the quest text and proceed with other stuff.
