Miscellaneous tweaks for the game to fix glitches or improve

Post » Mon May 21, 2012 2:03 am

Hey everyone,

I've noticed some little quirks with Skyrim that seem to be bothering people to a smaller or greater extent, I've been messing around with the console and fixed a variety of these so I thought I might share my results. Most of these are just nitpicks (except for the ingredients, that's what made attack the console, picking 60 ingredients is something I just can't seem to bear ;) ) These are all for PC unfortunately I don't think there's a way to do it on the XBOX or PS3 (sorry guys).

HOW TO open the console - Press the ( ` ) key, which is located to the left of the number 1 that is above the letter Q in English keyboards. If this doesn't open it, google "Skyrim Open Console X Language" where X is your language.

NPCs randomly commenting about you being diseased when you're not - If you wish for those comments to stop bring down the console and type in (watch the spacing!)

Set WICommentChanceDiseased to 0

Have a friendly NPC ignore friendly hits (as in not declare war to you if they suddenly decide to stop your sword by interposing themselves between you and your target) - Bring down the console, left click on the npc (Make sure you select the NPC correctly!) and type

sifh 1

Make a follower invincible - Bring down the console, left click on the npc (Make sure you select the NPC correctly!) and type

SetEssential 1

Spawn some ingredients for quests (for quests that follow the idea of Collect 100000000 pieces of grass ;) ) - Open the console and type

player.additem [ITEMREFERENCENUMBER] [QUANTITY]

For example 20 nirnroots you would have to type

player.additem 00059B86 20

Other item numbers I used - 000516C8 (Deathbells) - 0003AD5E (Fire salts) - 0002F44C (Nightshades)

Marry any NPC (Within reason)- http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1268837-how-to-marry-any-character-including-lydia/

If it helps you please bump the post, otherwise people won't ever see this ;)

Do you need to retype these commands every time you reload or do they stay on the char if you save ??.

They will save with your save file and be permanent, as long as the game itself doesn't change the value due to a specific event.

For example, applying the "No more diseased comments" will work until you contract another disease, then the comments will again start.

You realize the reason the people are asking if you feel alright is because you actually are sick, anytime you get a disease they will tell you by asking you... why would you turn that off?
