Missing Beta

Post » Sat May 11, 2013 10:39 pm

This topic is by no means me complaining about not having beta. I just want to see your opinion (or facts if you have any) on whats happening with the delayed beta schedule.

I personally believe the beta was delayed due to the beta leak videos. So they are re-thinking how they select people.

I have Tin foil hats for sale..LOL

I think if anything, they are using the same testers from the first two batches, maybe they found some issues they would like to fix before a large influx of new testers, plus the last interview I seen from the dev's said at that time plans were to ramp up beta over the summer, with E3 and Gamescon coming up, I would not be surprised if part of the news is more beta invites, plus we do not know how thigngs are going how many people were in the invites plus friends and family, I hope they are getting a lot done.. As far as the leaked video, they have to to expect things like that to happen, not sure if it has anything to do with how they are doing beta, but i kinda doubt it..:)

Are you talking about the beta or zenimax announcing that they are doing invitations..? Because if you are talking about beta then you are probably in and talking about it here is breaking the nda. But if you are talking about ZO announcing that they are sending invitations then i would say that maybe they don't tell about it when they are sending the emails or maybe they already have enough ppl for this phase

I have not disclosed anything about me or anyone else being in beta, just the fact that they are stating to have atleast 2 beta events monthly and there was only 1 last month and none this month yet.

The last video seemed to have a passing impact on them, though. So i would suspect that they dont want another encounter like that to happen.

Every time someone starts a beta thread, a beta gets cancelled.

That's obsurd. This is simply a discussion about what might have happened.

How long are beta events and when are they held?

At first, beta events will generally be held on the weekends, and each test will have limited windows of access to the game. You’ll receive your invitation in advance so you can make time to participate. While there will only be a few events per month early on, they will be held more frequently as we approach launch. As we progress through testing, we’ll also begin scheduling longer tests that allow testers to provide more detailed feedback on topics like progression.

This and another post i cant find on their facebook saying that beta events will be held atleast two times a month.

This is a thread of pure speculation. I speculated. Could I be right? Sure. But as there is no information at all to discuss, then there won't be any real discussion.

Huh, what if it is true. That would be something.

We should make 100 threads about this so that ZOS cancels all the betas and they launch the game next week. Who's with me?

You do understand that nobody is going to believe that there hasn't been any betas for 2 months unless you can prove it somehow.

And even if it is true then it's probably only a good thing, maybe they are making some big changes like making the combat better and less floaty or improving all the bad animations

No, Mother, I was not trying to brag.

Mother, NO!

MY GOD MOTHER, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!

Overall improving the game is another good guess.

It's the most likely guess. Even i am not cynical enough to think that they are wasting time to make sure nobody leaks the beta because the game is bad instead of just improving the things ppl complained about in the leaked video
