Spoilers ahead


So the first time I went to Piero's workshop he told me to go and get some whale oil, after doing that I went back up and played around with the empty tank dispenser, I took an empty tank from the dispenser and tossed it somewhere around the workshop. Then I left and did the second mission. Now When I visit the workshop, if I go to get another empty tank from the dispenser it does not work. It says "remove empty tank", as if there's an empty tank already dispensed, but there isn't. I looked around the workshop, I cannot find the one I dropped before, and the dispenser keeps saying "remove empty tank".

Of course, this isn't really a problem now, but I am worried that I may need an empty tank for some future mission and I'll be stuck then.

Don't worry, it's not a game breaking bug. I had the same thing happen to me on my first playthrough.

When I saw that you could keep filling the cans with whale oil, I made a dozen of them and accidentally blew myself up.

It's fine. When you actually need it, it will be fixed. The same thing happend to me in my most recent playthrough.
