I was wondering this earlier as well. If it's not in, eh I don't care, never really liked in much anyway and there's lots of great gear either way.

idk for sure but usually when mythril as a material pops up in fantasy related materials its described as indestructable (might make sense in skyrim actually) most notably in lord of the rings.

You probably already know that Mithril is a J.R.R. Tolkein material, LotR. Not TES.

Pretty sure Mithril was in Oblivion though. Light armor or whatever.

It was in previous elder scrolls games.

Yes, its from LotR, but mithril has been an armor material in past TES games as well, so its confusing as to why its not in Skyrim.

That must be from one of your mods, probably Oblivion War Cry New Dimension.

Mithril is in many RPG's. The first mithril items I ever saw in a game was in Phantasy Star 2. And yes, it was in Oblivion too.

They change it up sometimes with what materials they use I guess. Morrowind didn't have mithril either, and Oblivion didn't have adamantium but Morrowind did. Orichalcum's a new one for Skyrim; it had been mentioned before but hadn't shown up in any games yet.

True, but I don't think they had revealed that Orcish stuff is made from it until now. It was just said to be steel before.
