Just wanted to start a general mma thread.

Feel free to discuss any organization (past or present)

Please try to keep it civil. (This isn't Sherdog so show some class)

I'd side with Penn on that last one, but yeah, very hard call.

Cowboy over Siver

Nelson over Crop Cop

Mitrione over Kongo

Penn over DIaz

lol TS you should have more faith in your AV. Unless he gets hit with a huge overhand from big country he has a very good chance of winning.

Idk man I think Mirko's chin is shot. I see Nelson finishing it via TKO in the 2nd, but I hope Cro Cop comes out looking for the kill.

He seemed to be in a very good place psychologically from what I saw of him at the pre fight presser. I heard he has been seeing a sports psychologist so hopefully that has helped.

Also the 11th and 12th are going to be the best two days ever. Skyrim and then Cain vs JDS (UFC on Fox). :celebration: :celebration: :celebration:

lol

My pick is Roy by huge overhand after being beaten for most of the fight (like cro cop's last fight). I dont know who i am pulling for though since i like them both. I wont know until the fight happens.

I'm looking forward to the Velasquez fight on FOX. He's from my area so I'm hoping he wins. His brother comes into the restaurant I work at a lot.

Im thinking Dos Santos wins that fight. It's literally a 50/50 fight though. Both guys are so talented.

OMFG CERRONE IS A MONSTER!!!!

Cerrone submits Dennis Siver via RNC after stunning Siver with a head kick and punches. He wants to fight again before the new year.

Main Card starts now. I will post the results here.

Hatsu Hioki vs George Roop

Round 1

Both trading early. throwing high kicks. Roop is getting the better of the striking. Nut shot. stop the fight. Resume both trade. Hioki lands some punches and ties up against the cage. Both fighers are working for position against cage. Hioki misses a trip. Hioki gets Roops back. Roop regains position and turns Hioki against cage. Hioki gets takedown. Hioki working for keylock. Roop regains guard. Both fighters back up. Both working against the cage. Round ends. I have it Hioki 10-9

Round 2

Both walk to middle of cage. Trading Roop lands. Lots of high kicks. Roop lands decently on head kick. Both clinch and Hioki gets takedown into mount. Hioki transitions into side control. Hioki tries for americana and Roop defends. Hioki back to mount. Great top control by Hioki. Hioki postures up and lands some shots. Roop tries to hip escape and it fails. Hioki stalling in mount not really trying anything. Roop gets Hioki off with upkick. Both standing. Roop is coming at Hioki viciously. Landing good shots before the round ends. (Hioki 10-9)

Round 3

Roop comes right at Hioki for takedown. Defend by Hioki. Hioki tries takedown which Roop defends. Both up against fence. Hioki holding Roop against fence landing knees. Both working for control. Roop throws a few short punches that land. Ref splits them up crowd claps. Roop is bleeding. Roop with a great takedown. Hioki pulling rubber guard. Loses rubber guard. Roop in guard slams Hioki. Fight ends I have it (Roop 10-9)

Should be 29-28 for Hioki

Judges score is (29-28 Hioki, 29-28 Roop, 29-28 Hioki) Hioki wins UFC debut via split decision
