Mod Conflicts and Winners

When creating overrides in FNVedit it will sometimes create a yellow background (Override without conflict) or a red background (Conflict), I'm not entirely sure why the override sometimes doesn't resolve the conflict, but does it matter as long as the value I want wins/is green?

For me it doesn't matter what the color is, as long as the last values are from the mod i want to win. Sometimes that results in yellow background turning into red.

I mainly use FNVEdit to fix Bashed Patches that Wrye Flash makes, sometimes we disagree on what values should be in the patch.

Must be a PITA to constantly modify your patch.

Not really. Wrye Flash does most of the job, if it doesn't i just modify load order or tags. Usually there are only few conflicting records.

Why not make a small patch for it and load it just before the bashed patch with the right tags?

My load order doesn't change that often, it's easier to just put the bashed into correct order.
