Mod Detectives 115

Hiya,

I spent about 3 n a half hours googling with various keywords, and then read through this whole thread, but still can't find the mod... I originally found it on a mod list (i think it was one of those 'immersive' lists as well). I've been through almost all of the lists on the first post and I'm sure it's not there, or I just missed it =/ I downloaded it about six months ago and can't find the file, but I really want this mod...

From what I remember, it primarily added/changed almost all of the vanilla side quests. It added heaps more options (both in how to get the quests and how to finish them, and in conversations with the quest giver) and fleshed out a lot of the side quests and added more content to them, and added some new quests for areas that where bland/had no quests before. I'm fairly certain that it also added more conversation topics to npcs that where unique for towns etc, e.g town A, all the npcs have unique rumour topics about that town, but town B npcs would have different rumour topics. I'm not sure, but I think this mod might have also added a more immersive way to 'discover' the official quests.

It's really frustrating me that I can't find this mod, because I distinctly recall downloading it from tesnexus but I can't find it. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it ^_^

Enhanced Quest Roleplay does sound very similiar to what I'm looking for, so thanks for pointing it out to me Qawsed Asap, I'm definitely going to download that and use it. But the mod I was looking for did more than just those twelve quests and definitely had the npc dialogue options. I'm fairly certain it didn't use Cobl, otherwise Choice and Consequence could probably be what I'm looking for. That mod definetly sounds pretty awesome, what with all the faction and guild stuff, but it's not really the one I remember finding.

You are looking for Choices & Consequences.

Can anyone direct me to any mods where the light sources are changed to more low end friendly versions?

I've found that one or two light sources really kill my FPS yet the rest are fine. Ideally, the mod would change the nasty lights to good lights.

Some lights have a performance impact because they flicker. If that's what is having an impact on your game performance there's a tweak you can add in your Bashed Patch, that de-flickers lights- that's what I use now- but if you don't use Wrye Bash, you could try this mod: http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6150

I downloaded Wyre Bash just yesterday, but i'm still quite clueless how to use it properly. I've made a bashed patch, so what could i do from there?

Well the real down and dirty of using Wrye Bash is a different subject entirely, but the lights tweak you're looking for is found by R-clicking your Bashed patch, choosing "Rebuild Patch", then finding and check-marking the "no lights flicker" option under "Tweaks Assorted"(check-mark Tweaks Assorted as well).

Followed your instructions, and figured out what to do. Also managed to do some other tweaky things too.

Thank you for your help. I'll definitely need to figure out Wyre properly, as it seems like a very useful utility.

Is a there a way or mod to add Slof's new horse textures only, with none of the saddle bags or the sparkly gems on the reins, just the new horse textures?

Open up TES4Edit and take the saddlebags out of the inventory. I don't know about the reins, but the horse textures are separate from all of the (additional) NIFs.

Try 'http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27675'. It's pure mesh/texture replacer. About reins, it may require editing mesh/texture itself.

If also dabbling with Alchemy, Trollf's http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=OblivionMods.Detail&id=3422 might be fitting. A beautiful hideout in any case.

There are lots of bookcase mods out there and im just wondering if any of them let you put books on them flawlessly(without having to mess around with oblivion grab thing which im terrible at controling - I'm not sure how it would work, maybe you would have to activate the bookcase)? Im a collector and I'd like to collect all of the skill books and put them nicely in a bookcase in a nice house :P

I've been using the OBSE version of http://tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=10561 for ages, and I love it.

Trying to find the mod I had before I reformatted. It would bloody up your character when they were injured, and if they were really hurt, it would change their idle animation to show them clenching in pain.
