Mod for writing notes on Map?

Post » Wed May 16, 2012 7:38 pm

during my travels crossing Skyrim, I've come across a few interesting things: various Altars and a place where there are some stones and a grate leading down (obviously you have to rotate the correct stones to open it up).

well problem is: they're not showing up on my map as "Discovered".
which is really disappointing because I'd like to go back to them and explore.

I wanted to know if there is a mod yet that will let you "write" notes on your world map......???

thanks

That would be a very cool mod and would definitely work well with Skyrims map! I Like!

+1. I've found a few places I'd like to mark that don't have map icons, and as far as I know I can only place one custom marker.

And if it's too hard or impossible to add the ability to add text to the map, I'd be happy with being able to at least put a pin or flag at the spot.

I like this idea as well. I was just thinking 'i need to be able to to add notes to locations on the map.' :-) good call.

Map Marker Overhaul for Skyrim? It will probably come, but, first we need to have the CK, and see what the scripting language looks like. If it is as limited as Oblivions was, then we will need to wait for a script extender.

I don't think it's realistic being able to write notes on the map. Better being able to write your own journal entries, perhaps a notes page on your journal with say 10-20 pages and you can freely write and edit text on it?

Hehe, well it's not realistic that my character can shoot fire out of her fingertips either ;)

I'd also love to see the map ICONS get different colors, like all the Dragon Markers are Red, Cities/Towns are Blue or something,
each category has a different color, because once you start filling the map up, it starts to look like a mess.

Although with all those colors, I suppose the map would end up looking like a bowl of Fruit-Loops.... :D

Why? I write notes on maps all the time.

Made me rofl xD

And yeah, one marker seems to little for me. I like to place markers on crossroads during exploring, or special places.

well the problem with writing my own notes is, how can I tell where the place is at? there's no XY coordinates (like WOW's map), to be able to know exactly where is the spot you want to write down and remember.

know what I mean?
