Don't wear a helmet?

For a mod you'd need to edit all helmet items and delete their NIF-file entry.
Might not be possible with Tessnip, as many strings are now in an external file.

And lose 40% more bow damage, +30 increased sneak, and +30 to light armor? Seems like an illogical suggestion but thats just me.

You can always get a ring and enchant it with something like Increase Heavy/Light armor this well probably give you the same boost in AR that wearing the helmet would give you.

It's a fair deal: you want the benefits of a helmet, you need to accept the drawback of looking a bit silly among helmless folks.

No soldier, fire fighter, construction worker or professional sportsman thinks twice about how silly the helmet looks, so it's a pure metagaming choice. Your character wants that helmet, It's *you* who just wants the technical benefits.

As I wrote, that mod will be quite tedious to do without the CK (you need to crawl trough a randomly sorted list of armor-pieces and pick out the helmets) Or use the console to add the benefits you'd get when wearing a helmet.

Here is how to do that. You are basically casting a permanent buff on yourself. Make them equal to whatever your helmet has and now you don't need a helmet. Solved.

Taken from UESPwiki.

modAV

ModAV buffs or debuffs a skill or attributes. For example: If your Block skill is 30, you can "player.modav block 10", activating a permanent ('permanent' meaning without time restriction) buff to your block and setting it to 40 (with the skill level appearing green as if a spell or item is affecting the skill). The same can be done in reversing by using a negative integer. Using "player.modav block -10" would activate a permanent debuff to your Block and set it to 20 (with the skill level appearing in red). This mimics the same concept as SetAV, where the skill is effectively changed without messing with level gains.

Could try this:

Not all are covered, but it's a very good start.
