Yeah, same here, except I also have Deadly Dragons installed .. I had to resort to disabling the dragon at the start, because I just died instantly.

Yeah several of the LAL starter locations seem to spawn you in an area where there is a high chance of dragon spawn. I tried the orc strong hold one and every time a dragon would spawn right on top of me. The shipwrecked one proved to be a very good chalange with a frost dragon spawning as soon as i made it atop the cliff to get into Winterhold. I sprinted into the city and had the guards help me on that one.
