What makes a king?

Hello all, and welcome to my personal mod development thread.
What makes a king will allow you to take the throne of a small island on the northern shores of Skyrim.
The story will be completely voice acted, and we’ll attempt to make the decisions made on the island
affect how people react to you on the mainland.

The story,

The island of Sargarl has always been independent, the natives on the island are from Breton origins and settled there some two hundred years ago. The islands people where bent on remaining independent no matter what, and fought bravely to guard this independence. The islands people declared the leader of the first colonists as their first King.
his name was King Maudric Celtum I, his descendants ever since ruled the islands people, but recently, the last heir to the dynasty Prince Adwik Celtum disappeared, and with his father King Maudric Celtum II suffering from severe illness the leader of the island-wardens seized the opportunity to swiftly claim the throne. Maudric was murdered by warden soldiers and the very same night a strange will apeared out of no where.
Now King Revin Tredus sways the scepter on the island, but this recent usurpation stirred unrest under the islands people. The inhabitants are not keen on following the orders of Revin, especially not now since it has become common knowledge that he may have something to do with the murder of the beloved King Maudric and the loss of his son Prince Adwik.

The player,

The player will gain knowledge of the island after slaying/speaking to a messenger from Sargarl on his way to Windhelm. He will tell the player that(or the player will read from a note taken from the corpse) an inland in the north is in trouble and nearing civil war. The player can ask who send the messenger, and then head over to the message giver for information, or if the player decided to kill the messenger, follow the instructions on the note to get to the island and find out what’s going on, on his own.
On the island, the player can follow two quest lines, one will lead to the coronation of the player, the other to the restoring of the Celtum dynasty.

Needed,

At least 2 well experienced elder scroll’s modder’s- because I must confess I’m not much of a wiz with those kind of things, I can provide plenty of information on the island, size-structures-perhaps some models to buildings. I will provide much of the information in text form the allow the designer to be creatively active as well.

Voice actors- for the main characters a strong voice is a must. The minor figures have less demanding voice requirements (but still need to be done without silly accents and things of the kind)
For further information please contact me on Steam- FlyingNimbus

Last few words,

As a story writer I hope to see some enthusiasm. and I’m looking forward to work seriously with a new crew. Of course this mod will be done in the few scarce free hours the people involved have left, and thus may make it so that the mod will take a long time to realize.
And I hope that those who read this will take in the knowledge that this is just the first draft of the story, I will of course develop it in time, and change this and that to make it fit better lore-wise.

Any feedback would be welcome, but do mind your tone, posts with a unwanted attitude to them will not be responded to.
Sincere greetings,
FlyingNimbus

G'day all,

Ive started drawing and designing today, and i'll attempt to do as much of that as i can the comming week. (ofcourse there's work and college to deal with as well)

Anyway, I've some text concerning the main quest of the mod finished for a first read (it is just a first draft as it is, there is much to change)

Well here you go,

Chapter one, Arrival

Up on arrival the player will be approached by a man clothed in gray rags, his face covered by a thick gray hood, he will ask the player to follow him. The player and the man will enter one of the long-houses in town. Here the man unveils himself, his name is Breg. Breg will ask the player if he was the hired blade send by the messenger. The player can either deny or acknowledge this. No matter this answer Breg will still ask the player to do something for him.
Breg as it turns out is the son of one of Sargarls nobleman, his father owning five trade vessels, and a staff of fifty men. But both Breg and his father have been stripped from their wealth and position by the new king- Revin Tredus whom claimed the coin of all rich families on Sargarl and took all of their assets. Breg plots revenge and sets the player out on a task to murder the kings two sons. Breg sees this as equal compensation stripping the king of his heirs, thus making the Tredus dynasty a short one when the task is done, Breg plans on leaving Sargarl.
By the end of the quest the player will have slain one of the kings sons, Prince Aurval Tredus. His other son Prince Marus escaped the fight Marus will warn his father, whom will have Breg and his father executed, which can be seen the next time the player enters town. A high bounty will be placed on the head of the player. (all wardens will attack the player on sight)

Chapter two, Rallying support

The player is left completely alone, and without support on the island, or so it seems. The men that once belonged to the trading company of Breg’s Father, the red-company, have been replaced by the kings men, and are now left without work. They plot to avenge their former employers by invading the royal palace to remove Revin from the throne. And afterwards place a monarch of their liking back on it. (either the player or Adwik Celtum, it’s the players choice)

But first the men need weapons, Revin instituted a strong no-arms policy, and as such this left the red-company unable to act. The player will be tasked to sneak into the warden head-quarters, assassinate the warden guards, and open the back entrance of the building(this has to be done at night). Once opened, a handpicked crew of the red-company will secure weapons and armor for their assault. The player and the red-company will disappear into the night.

Chapter three, A spies eye

The next morning, many of the houses in Sargarl are being searched by wardens. The head-quarters lieutenant noticed the disappearance of weapons early in the morning, only hours after the heist. He instructed the wardens to search the city, and retrieve the missing gear no matter what. Many innocent people whom object the search are being dragged out into the streets and are crammed together. Prince Marus declares those whom refuse the search traitors, and afterward a horrible slaughter commences.
When the player returns to the red-companies longhouse, it is obvious that they are no longer hiding their intends, impaled wardens sire around the front door of the building.
After knocking on the door, they will let the player in. A brief conversation ensues in which it becomes clear that the red-company is bent on taking the city, the player is to make use of the ensuing chaos and has to make his way into the palace, where he must enter the captain of the wards quarters and steal the castle defense plans.
Once the player is done, and has made his way back outside again, it is clear the red-company drove the wardens out of town. Taking very few losses themselves.
In the heat of battle Prince Marus was captured whilst leading the wardens in the defense of the town square. Upon arrival of the player the leader of the red-company, Tolas Ironclad , verdicts Marus to death. He will grant the player the honors of doing it, if the player declines, Tolas will cut off the head of Marus himself.
The only thing left now is the assault on the palace.

Chapter four, A kings demise?

Tolas will ask the player to follow him back to the old warden head-quarters, here he will ask the player to hand him the defense plans. He will ask the player to report back to him in two hours, as he needs time to study the plans.
Upon the players return, Tolas will tell the player that the palace gates are not well secured, and can be opened by a lever in the left tower. Tolas plans to use this flaw by knocking down the side of the tower with a catapult, thus creating a gab large enough for the player to get through to pull the lever.
Once the player opened the gate the red-company will charge in and secure the castle.
But the battle is not over, Tolas, a handful of the company and the player will make way to the throne room. Here Revin sits on his throne, without armor, and armed with only a short slender sword which is standing next to the throne. His guards will attempt to protect their lord, and charge at the red-company and the player in a last attempt. After a short fight the player and Tolas approach Revin. Whom hasn’t moved an inch since they walked in.
Tolas will declare the wardens disband and the king dethroned and under arrest for usurpation, murder and cruelty .
Revin will then rise from his throne , he calls Tolas a traitor, and then freezes him solid with a foul curse. With his magic he throws the player back, and electrocutes the other red-company warriors in the room. The player will kill Revin with a fatality after getting back on his/her feet.

Chapter five, Hail the king

With Tolas murdered the red company seeks a new leader, they find that person in a cousin of Tolas, Ciles Greystone. Ciles will tell the player that Adwik may still be alive, he heard rumors that Revin locked him up, in a cave on a small island north of Sargarl. The player has the choice to either free Adwik, or convince Ciles that there is no hope and that the player should be crowned king.
The happenings afterward will depend on the players decision, Either the player, or Adwik will be crowned king of Sargarl.

I do like to apologize for the messy style of writing in this text, it mostly a flow of ideas (and my own what if's) which is not inteded to make for good reading, but rather to give myself (and those interested) something to get information from.

What i'm upto at this point;

I've been making models of buildings, with the red-company quarters almost finished.
And i made an early draft of the throne room.

These are of course global models, made with sketch-up. A lovely program i use for a wide number of things.
For some reason though i cannot link the images to this webpage, so ill get to making a gallery soon enough. And ill try to post the link to it in this post.

Anyhow, Im still looking for a team guys!

just popped in to say, keep doing your thing, it looks promising, but don't espect any recognition (modding can sometimes be a thankless task)

Hey thanks :) I don't expect anything, its mainly a let out for me other then the writing i usualy do.
And at this early stage, im quite happy im not getting any recognition, it makes for a softer start with less pressure to get straight into the modding. (I have started on this and that though, mainly character models, and voices)
I like taking my time to first get my stories straightened out to a point where I can actually start seeing it as history of a world, instead of simple fiction.
