No doubt the topic title will attract the moderators immediately. I just wanted to ask you guys, have any of you played this game? I'm not flaming any of you guys because you are just doing your jobs, but seriously? It would be nice to know that some of you feel our pain. If I was on the team that helped make this game I would be absolutely horrified and work as much as possible to fix this for my own sake and the customer's.

I'm pretty sure all of the active mods have played this. I myself have it for the PC but I know several others play this on the XBox 360 (Off the top of my head I'm not sure about the PS3).

I've encountered very few problems so I can't help you here. I actually played Half Life 2 for the first time after FONV (I was previously avoiding Steam) and it crashes about as often as FONV does - in both cases it being quite rare. There are a few issues I've avoided because I heard about them here first, such as the problem with Raul's quest if you already talked to Ranger Andy, and there are a few glitches I've encountered, but overall it's been smooth sailing.

I've talked to people playing this on the XBox 360 and PS3 who have had few if any problems despite playing it quite a lot, and of course there are people who have massive problems getting the game to run. On the PC I understand this, there is so much variation in hardware and drivers that someone could easily have a configuration the game just can't handle while others are fine. I didn't think this discrepancy was supposed to occur on consoles though but I'm hardly an expert.

Anyway, if you want to talk to a specific person you should really PM them, we (the mods) don't appreciate threads addressed to us like this, so I'm locking the thread. It won't stop other mods from chiming in if they want.

Actually, we aren't :) We aren't employees of Zenimax or Bethesda Softworks, this is pure volunteering. Our jobs are unrelated to our moderatorship, we are programmers, teachers, lawyers and all sorts of things, but not paid moderators. That said, we obviously have a very good contact with the forum admins, of course, and they are employees of Zenimax.

I didn't have many issues with FNV. One quest was a buggy, but it didn't stop me from completing it (and the patch supposingly fix this issue, although I haven't tried it yet myself). The game also crashed 3 or 4 times while I played thru the game, but it didn't matter much as a recent save would always fix that for me. I don't think 4 crashes from 70 hours of gaming is unreasonable, infact that's very little compared to some games I used to play back in the 80s and 90s.

Yeah, I'm also on PC. I find PC games are always kind of a crap shoot, but I've been relatively stable so far in this instance. I've run into a few glitches, but overall I have at least been able to play it.
