so, getting skyrim for pc now as done everything but mods, seen a few videos on youtube, when they use mods, i see "file is corrupted and cannot be loaded" is this preventable, or is it just something i can ignore?

No, mods should not corrupt your save game and if they do you should contact the mod author and let them know so they can try to fix it.
