[WIP] Mojave Music Radio Expanded

Post » Wed Dec 08, 2010 2:40 am

This, when finished, will be my first public mod, and as such, will probably be revised numerous
times. The aim is to use som of the public domain source files from Pimpbots awesome GNR- More where
that came from i.e the MP3s from his track packs and incorporate them into Mojave Music Radio, along with
adding all the tracks from Radio New Vegas, thus widely expanding the playlist from 16 tracks to about
40-50.

I don't plan to include all of the old mp3's from that mod because a lot of them don't fit the mood, at
least in my opinion.

I have a lite version that I'm testing right now that just adds the tracks from Radio New Vegas, with
the full version coming later. Haven't decided if I'm going to modify the stock script to go longer
before playing the same song.

Also, could someone tell me where I could look to see if a certain song is public domain or not
so that I won't have to worry about the music police coming to arrest me?

You could Google public domain music.

I would love it if this mod came to completion. I'd even beta or alpha test. Need more music in New Vegas and agreeable some of the music in the "More where that came from" mod does work in the game while a huge chunk doesn't work.

Great ! I'd appreciate it when I'm ready to release a beta version, probably here shortly as it seems adding music to this version is simpler over FO3. I'm also experimenting with adding old radio shows into the game either with its own staion or by having holotapes scattered around the wasteland.

I'd vote for "its own radio station" for what it is worth.

Love being able to turn my radio on while I'm wandering the wasteland and just listen to a random assortment of old radio serials... never knowing what is going to come on next!

Makes the "no-fast-travel" characters that I make a ton more enjoyable. (As do expanded radio mods in general) :) :)

Ok, I'll take that into consideration. Really, I guess theres no reason why I can't do both. When I have more
time I'll start work on that project in earnest when I'm done with this one.
