Molag Bal.

I'm not too happy about him being the main antagonist in this game, not at all. He's always been the most evil out of all the Daedric Princes in my view.
As the prince of ...forced intercourse and lots of other vile things, I don't think they'll do justice to his scary image at all, what with the game being all cartoony and so far with lots of retcons. There isn't even blood in TESO.
I'm getting a feeling they'll make him behave like Mehrunes Dagon the second and try to conquer Tamriel through violence and whatnot, yet I feel this is so out of character for him.

I think they'll end up ruining Molag Bal.

Another thing, Vivec and Molag Bal have a long history together, I'm suprised they said he won't play a big part in the main quest of the game.
Almalexia will take his place, really?

I've watched all the gameplay trailers where there's fighting for ESO, and I didn't notice any blood at all.

Probably because making blood spatters in PvE content is dumb and pointless and probably not worth doing from a technical point of view. Do raid bosses normally gush blood from various open wounds that are created while you down him?

Anyway, you guys should consider that Molag Bal is the first villain in the base game at launch. I'd be surprised if he was still the main bad guy by the first expansion, but then again I don't know what they have planned storywise so who knows. My guess is though we're eventually going to defeat him and move on to the next fight.

That was probably a Alpha game play video.

They have already ruined Molag Bol because they say he is the Daedric Prince of Plots and Manipulations which is Boethias' realm. No where in the lore for Molag in TESO says he is the lord of domination and enslavement of mortals and forced intercourse.

You're a bit misinformed or confused, probably both. He is called the Prince of Schemes in ESO and yes there is a Lore base for that title. That was established in the threads that already discussed this.

Well schemes can be replaced with plot because what is a plot if not a scheme?

Or the more likely reason = Zenimax is aiming for a T rating and blood splatters can usually raise the rating.

But damn wouldn't it be awesome to see a bigass raidboss bleeding all over the place like you said! :D

Congratulations. You've probably just stumbled on the major reason why Molag Bal and Boethiah are bitter archenemies.

I actually think this version of his name is fine. ESO is set a long time ago and so its not improbable that the deities would have been known by different names, deities morph over time in real life too. And actually I would rather that a fantasy world that I escape to was a little bit bowdlerised, because there are certain topics that I don't want to dwell on.

He isn't known by a different name. One of his titles is what they say it is, even in Skyrim, that was one of his titles.

Yes I realise that. Its just not the most commonly used title in skyrim.

While I don't ever recalled reading that Molag Bal is the daedric prince of plots, I do know that there is this sort of rivalry between him and Boethia, so I can see him sort of being known for the same things.

As for the blood splatters or lack of, I have to remind you that the footage we've seen is just from the alpha stage and should be been taken as the finished product. That being said, I don't think there will be lots of blood all over the place.

Do I think they'll do his profile the full amount of justice? Probably not, I don't imagine we'll see him in his realm with a conga line of female subjects all waiting their turn to be defiled by his demon junk. You can speculate that this is just ZOS being cowards but [censored] is quite a hot subject in the real world so I can understand if they choose not to feature such a act. It could be mentioned though, I don't see too much harm coming from that.

But I do think they should really feature the White Gold Tower pasted with waste! Who wouldn't love that being a texture wall paint on their place of residence?

All in all, I hope they don't end up taking like a football, putting some orange on it and calling it a basketball.

Yeah, they never called him the Prince of Plot and Manipulations. They have only called him the God of Schemes which is one of his many titles.

Yes, I'm scared for this too! I'm afraid they'll just want to make the game accessible for the younger ones and thus [censored] it up.
