MONSTERS!

Post » Mon May 07, 2012 4:26 am

If you could choose or create ANY monster/creature/animal/thing(living) to put in Skyrim what would it be? It can't be already in Skyrim :P And I don't care if it's more then one.

GO!

I'd want.
1. http://gremlindog.com/wordpress/wp-content/uploads/2008/10/balrog.jpg
2. http://maplesecrets.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/zakum.jpg(would totally work at the end of a cave!)
3. https://mskellyconnolly.wikispaces.com/file/view/cerberus_1024x768.jpg/60335056/cerberus_1024x768.jpg
4. http://lair2000.net/Mermaids_Retreat/Research/sea_serpent.jpg
5.http://www.drakensang.com/1032/monster/Images/Image%20129.png

I think variants of could work beautifully in TES games if done correctly.
Go nuts! :chaos:

Most of these wouldn't fit into TES and golems already were in oblivion if i remember right.

Edit: Sea Serpents might actually work.

Am I "this page doesn't exist"? Hey, I like Maplestory, Played it for 7 years.

They got good ideas, not like I'm saying it BE like Maple Story, but that monster would be pretty bad ass to see in a realistic looking game with a decent plot line to it.

Flamin Hot Monster Munch - they are great. And i read dude who co-wrote the strategy guide, literally ate thousand of bags of Monster Munch whilst playing/writing. No clarification on flavour, that pissed me off the most xD

None of these would make sense lore and/or gameplay wise.

Lore can be created can't it? We only know whats present, not whats future. Anything can happen.
Besides, the point was just to have fun, not make sense of it.

Before any monsters I want an intricate system of wildlife, preferably modelled on a real world environment akin to Skyrim's (Himalayas/ siberia/ alps) but obviously with fairytale things added in like giants and the sort.

I'm not too sure after that, I like your suggestions though.

In terms of gameplay and lore a Zakum-like monster wouldn't make sense in any way.

Edit : I also had an idea that could make the game play work, I think about things like this a lot, I'm very fascinated by diffident types of creatures and monsters. But I left it out because it would take to long to explain, and that's not what the thread is about. I didn't just randomly come up with these, I did find ways to make them fit.

My list...
(Extra) Variations of Dragons
http://www.wizards.com/default.asp?x=dnd/eo/20040201a

Comments on your List...
1. Balrog! - It's too demonic for TES.
2. Zakum!(would totally work at the end of a cave!) - I'm not really sure if thats "living" (It'd need too be a different style for TES though).
3. Cerberus - Doesn't seem to fit. Skyrim doesn't have a haunted feel which is where these guys belong.
4. Sea Serpent - It would be a bit hard to implement into TES. It could be done its just TES's are not really focused on water (You'd also need a way to breath under water).
5.Golems! - There basically already in. They're known as Atronachs ( I don't know if there's rock golems) but there are fire and ice.

Unicorns. Not the nicey, nicey prettiness and purity unicorns, but like the classic, dark, murderous ones. Make them all heavy and floofy for life in the high, snowy reaches. Like badass warhorses....but with lances on their face. XD

I know there was -one- in Oblivion, but it didn't really do much, or particularly matter. Wasn't much to see. They should make them cooler.
