where can i find them? i know i can buy some of nps, but want to find some to mine, anyone got a spot?

There is only one place that has it and it is in Soljund's Sinkhole.

There's some at the top of Throat of the World, if you've gotten that far into the MQ yet.

I've found them in some Dwarven ruins, one from the College of Witherholds quest in fact ( only I cant beat it cause it might be bugged)

I believe they do, my friend said he cleared out the mines at dawnstar then went back and it was full again. Good news cause I only know one place for ebony.

have you tried gloombound mine? that mine is full of ebony

lol yep that's the one place But there was this rather unfortunate incident when i fast traveled there one time a dragon attacked there and in the process killed the towns people and then the chief started attacking me after I killed sooo I don't think I'm welcome there anymore.

This is the best place, though that boss was no joke if you fought him in that main room.
