Angry Birds Trilogy (Angry Birds, Seasons, Rio) is being updated and released in retail form for the Xbox, PS3 and 3DS, to be released by December. Looks like I'll be buying these games for the third time (have all 3 on my iPhone and HD versions on my Kindle) because apparently the graphics will be updated and tweaked and of course the #1 draw for me, achievements!! 1,000GS here I come! Can't wait for this. I hope Angry Birds Space gets added as DLC soon after.

Angry Birds has to be one of the most milked gaming franchises of our time.

Am I one of the few people who has never played this game? Seriously. My nephew is crazy about it and I still have little to no clue about much of it.

Maybe, it works though. I've made the jump from the $0.99 versions to the $4.99 Kindle Fire HD versions without much problem. The question is, will this be $60? $50? $40? I think I'd pay $60 for it. It has Kinect integration too which would be kind of cool. I'm thinking it'll be $40-50, but I can easily see them going $60, especially if they include all of the Seasons levels released.

Well the question is, how much do you value your time? Once you start you'll never stop :P. Pull out your phone while in the bathroom and next thing you know you're sitting on the toilet still an hour later :) It's a brilliant game, incredibly addicting.

$60 for a game I could play for free on my browser? Angry Birds is hardly the first game of its kind, and there exist free ones that are plenty of fun.

That's not entirely true. I had bought Angry Birds Space for my Nexus and I haven't played it in several months. After the 1000 time doing the same thing it gets old fast.

I won't be purchasing the trilogy.

Man...I broke 30,000 GS a while back...it's not as cool as it sounds haha. Gave up on my xbox several months back, PC gaming is vastly superior.

Anyways...buying it for a third time sounds silly. It's fun on my phone....but they're just milking the hell out of it at this point.

Also, why would you ever.....ever....EVER pay $60 for an angry birds game................the only reason I've ever touched that game is because it is free for androids.

Well it'll be nice to play on the big screen, and I'm hoping they release a digital download version that way it's always on my Xbox ready to go, so if I'm sitting around bored I'll just boot up Angry Birds and have some nice casual fun from my recliner. Sure I could pull out my phone or Kindle, but I think it'll be nice on the big screen, especially with the new animations, lighting, etc. that they're improving for this version.

Also it'll be fun to play using the Kinect with friends.

They haven't announced a price, I'm just guessing. I could see $30, $10 a game, but who knows.

You're not alone. I've never played Angry Birds and I'm not going to.

 Why one would pay so much for this game is just beyond me.

Yeah, I'm imagining that it'll be 800 MS points off of xbox live. Like a xbox live arcade game or something. I can't imagine that they would release it in disk form, not as it's main source of sales anyways.

That would be amazing. I still think they'll have it priced at at least $20. It's going to be a holiday / stocking stuffer type thing. They're going to get it out on shelves and grandmothers and such are going to recognize the name and buy it. That's why they can price it higher. The average gamer might not buy into it for that, but the fanatics who are obsessed with the game and collect Angry Birds plushies (this guy!) and the moms and dads and grandparents will be picking it up no matter what they price it at based on the name.

It's worth trying for sure, but only if you can get it for free in my opinion. If you have to pay money for it don't bother. I think they sell for a buck on the iPhone, and the main game and all the expansions are totally free on the android. It's fun to play for a while, or when you're bored waiting somewhere. Nice challenge on some of the levels too.

Me too. It's a rip-off of an old video game type. Nothing that spectacular about it.

Whats angry birds?

A phone, tablet, browser game that has over 650 million downloads (through the various versions).

It's free to play on Facebook and Google Chrome. It still dominates the Apple App store. The original Angry Birds is still at #25 on the top paid app downloads, Angry Birds Space is #7, Seasons is #48, Rio is #68. That's pretty impressive considering how long it's been out.

I can't complain about it, it's free on my droid. Never would have played it if I had to pay though.

Not even $0.99? What exactly do you guys who say you wouldn't pay for it expect in a casual phone game??? What games do you guys purchase then? Or do you guys just not do casual gaming? Just curious... Personally I've spent a TON of money on apps and games over the last year, so $0.99 never seems like much. I mean it's the price of a MP3, and I get much more enjoyment out of the games. I've been playing Angry Birds since it came out, and only paid $0.99 (they add free levels all the time) [Okay well I paid $0.99 and then $4.99]. I certainly doubt I've listened to a mp3 I bought back then as much as I've played Angry Birds. Well worth the $1 in my book.

Most people who are verbal on forums like this don't do casual gaming, and people who are casual gamers usually don't get too involved in gaming communities like this one :)

I do enjoy casual games occasionally. My favourite of all time is the impossible game. If you haven't tried it, be sure to. Super hard, fun to master, and very addictive lol.

No wonder I never get along with you guys  I'm a huge casual gamer. I like TES and Fallout too, but most of my gaming is FPS (MW3, Halo), sports and casual.

And after watching Rooster Teeth's Rage Quit for the Impossible Game, I'm pretty sure I would smash my phone into a million pieces if I tried it :P I can't even beat the first world in New Super Mario Bros. Wii (died 15 times in a row in the second castle), so I'm sure my reflexes can't handle Impossible :P
