Hey there,

a few months ago I bought dishonored and at that time it
worked just fine. Sadly I only had time to play two hours
of it. Yesterday I wanted to finally come back to it and
now I cannot make it work at all. I always get the same error
before the game even starts.

Edit: Cannot upload screenshots as it seems....
Error says: Fatal error

Address = *** (filename not found) for the dishonored.exe
multiple times with different hex numbers for ***
Then three times the same for ntdll.dll
That is it.

I already tried different solutions, which I found scattered
around the internet:
-Windowed mode
-Verify steam cache
-Multiple reinstalls of the game, with and without removing left over files
-Different graphics drivers
-Deleting certain game files and repairing the game to get them back (dlls and user data)
-Compatibility mode and run as admin
-Steam offline mode
-Turning Physx on in ini file

Everything is on c drive. My specs:
Intel Core i3-2100 3,1 GHz
8 GB RAM
Nvidia geforce GTX 550 TI
Windows 8 Pro x64

Only thing that changed since I bought the game is an upgrade to Windows 8.
I really would be thankful for some help.
